Once upon a time, on a very hot day, a thirsty crow was flying around looking for something to drink. After searching for a while, he spotted a pitcher in a garden. Excited, he flew down to see if there was water inside.
When the crow looked into the pitcher, he saw some water at the bottom. “Yay! Water!” he exclaimed. But he realized his beak couldn’t reach the water when he tried to drink. “Oh no! What will I do?” he thought.
The clever crow thought for a moment and had a great idea. He noticed some small pebbles lying on the ground. “If I drop some pebbles into the pitcher, the water will rise!” he said to himself.
So, the crow picked up a pebble with his beak and dropped it into the pitcher. Plop! Then he picked up another pebble and dropped it in. Plop! He kept doing this over and over again until the water finally rose high enough for him to drink.
The crow was so happy! He happily drank the cool water and felt refreshed. “Hooray! My plan worked!” he cawed with joy.
The crow had used his cleverness to solve the problem, and now he had plenty to drink!
