MAX -THE BRAVE DOG

Once upon a time, on a sunny day, there was a playful puppy named Max. Max loved to play with his friends, but there was one thing he was afraid of: the thunderstorms that sometimes rolled across the green, grassy plain. Whenever a storm came, Max would hide under the stairs and tremble until it was over. He wished he could be brave like his father, Tommy, but the loud noises and flashes of lightning made him very scared.
Tommy, Max’s wise father, noticed how frightened Max was during the storms. One day, Tommy approached Max and said, “I see you’re very scared of the thunder. It’s okay to be afraid, but I believe you can learn to be brave.”
Max looked up at Tommy with wide eyes and asked, “How can I be brave? The thunder is so loud and scary.”
Tommy smiled and said, “Being brave doesn’t mean you’re not afraid. It means facing your fears, even when you are scared. I’ll help you learn how to be brave.”
The next day, as another storm approached, Tommy suggested they try something different. “Instead of hiding, let’s go outside and face the storm together. I’ll be right by your side.”
Max hesitated but trusted Tommy. Together, they went outside and watched the storm calmly. After some time, Max realized that the storm wasn’t as scary as he had thought. He even started to enjoy the rain.
As the storm began to quiet down, Max felt a sense of pride. “I stayed outside and didn’t run away!” he said, wagging his tail.
Tommy gently patted Max and said, “You did great, Max. Being brave means taking small steps, and today you took a big one. Remember, I’m always here to support you.”
From that day on, Max learned that bravery isn’t about being fearless; it’s about facing your fears and moving forward step by step. He felt more confident, knowing he could handle storms, just like Tommy had taught him.
